The best practice is to have a dedicate storage network that is separate from the management VM networks.
Note that since iSCSI network is not routable in vSphere 5, the initiators and targets must be on the same subnet.
With that in mind, you don&#039;t have to use the default vSwitch0 if you have enough uplinks to dedicate to the storage network.
Also keep in mind that you cannot combine NIC teaming with Port Binding for iSCSI Software Initiators.]]></description>
